PJ and I spent some time fooling with different approaches to frequency shading, i.e., lower and lower low pass cut offs as you went down the S8 array. I recall at least two distinct approaches we tried - and also a BSC. But the S8 just sort of naturally has very good bass balance, and the experiments never panned out. This new set up will give us the flexibility to easily try many different filter configurations. We should also pick up around 1/3 octave of extension on the bottom end with the new woofers.
