I thought that may be the case. When I first looked at the wiring of the circuit, I found a couple of things that looked quite unorthadox. I questioned whether they were building oversights - or just good ol' eccentric circuit design. This is exactly why I need to acquire a copy of the literature that origonally accompanied them.
