Just save these linked PDF's. They give a good foundation. If they're more technical than you want then try papers on DIY sites that will come up on Google search terms like "Tube Electronics Basics" etc. Tweaky parts stuff will not be extensively addressed in technical books per se. though you will find info relating to them in technical works on componentry and materials from manufacturers and researchers (in addition to audiophile reports/articles).
If you look around the forums you'll soon see that there really isn't any single change in a circuit/component that somebody won't step up to say they can hear . . . and though certainly some things have a larger/less subtle effect on sound than others the best advice always seems to be try and listen for yourself.
I'll just throw in here that in my own case it has proven to be a good idea not to change anything while you're still enjoying it a lot, otherwise it's very easy to get into a perpetually restless search for an undefined best (when many times it's really only different) With extensive listening the shortcomings (if any) become apparent as the ears naturally comprehend more and more but you will have had some good enjoyment out of the set-up before they do.
