Book on fundamentals of tube circuitry

Can anyone recommend a book on the fundamentals of tube circuitry? I'm building a Bottlehead Seduction, and can see, up to a point, how what I'm doing corresponds to the circuit diagram. But there's so much I don't know! In particular, I'd like to know enough to know which parts could improve the sound by being upgraded--and which probably couldn't. I already have "How to Build Electronic Equipment", by J. Richard Johnson, but while it's fine on a few topics, it doesn't really touch my main area of ignorance. Any helpful advice will be much appreciated!
