Of course the theory of teaching a man to fish is a wonderful, slightly utopian ideal. Yet we all are not cut of the same cloth...And lucky for us for certainly without diversity we would have perished as a species .
To throw around another saying "You can lead a horse to water...
And all this says nothing of the architecture of the Acoustat interfaces which in this case presents the largest hurdle to overcome. The Medallion transformer interfaces are indeed a tight squeeze and will no doubt require skills that the experience of a few weekend solder joints will easily surpass.
I am very well aware that I could have bought an iron, practiced a bit eventully giving it a go on modding some Dynaco equip I have sitting around and transfered these acquired skills to my Acoustat issue...
I appreciate the thought applied to this problem but I am looking for a bit of help not to learn a process.
I am skilled in many areas. Time and experience has taught me this. It has also taught me the value of recognizing when someones abilities/reasoning surpasses my own. On these occasions I defer to those that know. This in the end is strongwer reasoning.
Cheers
