Some 10:1 scope probes are rated for as little as 300V peak, others as high as 600Vpk. I have a 100:1 scope probe that is rated for 1200V peak. I have a friend with a 1000:1 scope probe rated for 20,000V peak (if I remember right).
First thing after attaching a scope probe to the scope is to attach the probe to the calibrator, set the time base to 1 msec/div and the voltage to be near full screen. Turn the screw to get a good clean square wave. Now you are ready to measure. From the picture, it looks like you've figured this part out.
Play safe and play longer! Don't be an "OUCH!" casualty.
Unplug it, discharge it and measure it (twice) before you touch it.. . .Oh!. . .Remember: Modifying things voids their warranty.
