I'm pretty confident the classic bottlehead look will be around for a long time. All the new kits on the drawing board are keeping the same form factor as far as I know. The departure in looks might be with finished products if that happens. The single plate chassis is really the only practical way I know of to produce a kit that is reasonably easy to build, attractive, quick to produce, and economical. As Doc mentioned, form follows function. If you want to spruce them up a bit, custom finishes, exotic woods, different knobs, etc. can really propel them into nice looking products I think. It's how most of my stuff looks at home and I can build anything I want.
PJ and I are working on the Seduction II which may replace or be in addition to Seduction I. You can see it adds tube B+ regulation and a new EF86 input stage. I believe it's been mentioned already but we are also working on an integrated stereo Paramour kit which should be very exciting. Both kits are conventional plate chassis on wood base. I'll attach a photo of the proof of concept phono preamp sitting on my bench that I took a few weeks ago. I suspect the kit will look very similar.
