Thank you for the guidance. The replies were very helpful as I know that I will be at least in the ballpark regarding sound qualoity that I could get otherwise, and potentially much better. I guess its time to take the next step and use tubes for more than just my guitar amps - and to learn to solder more than cables!

Here's hoping that I don't become Ed Fallon's best customer by necessity!!
