I have a Prima Luna Prologue One (plp1). I run it with new stock re-issue mullard power tubes and old stock rca small signal tubes. I built a seduction with c4s and it was a marked improvement over the ss phono stage in the plp1 -- the difference was like the seduction timed everything right, the music seemed "faster" or more coherent. I am chalking that up to fast slew rate of the tube ciruit, but I don't really know.

Impressed by how much better the seduction sounded, I next built the enhanced sex amp. Of course the sex amp won't play as loud, but it plays more sweetly. I've played both amplifiers with Meadowlark Kestrel 2's, and the sexy speakers. The record player is a Rega P3 with a Dynavector High Output MC. I think the sex amp sounds better with the sexy speakers than the Meadowlarks. I am not sure why; the full range drivers mate really well with the sex amp and the subs fill in the bass. The bottlehead "sound" is a class above the plp1, though the bottlehead chasis quality is not on the same level as the PrimaLuna - go figure.
