to build foreplay and seduction, and bought a Cayin tube power amp that can drive my speakers, I guess Primaluna Power amp would suit that combination too.

So what can I tell you ?

Generally solid state and commercial amps may be quieter that diy tube kits...

I have no real comparisons...though I have heard Primaluna in the shops, and it also had a small powersupply hmmm just as my own combination.

I modified my Foreplay to fit a balance control so one channel is less shielded and has more powersupply grunge than the other. Nothing I can notice from my listening chair,only detectable 1-2 feet from the speaker . Some other builders may have managed dead silent amps... Just to let you know if you are used to dead silent SS commercial amps...

I compared my Foreplay to a commercial Integrated amp with seperate preamp (mosfets and digitally controlled precision smd attenuator). ****** rating and test winner at the price of 3300 usd 10 years ago. My Forplay is at the same level or better than that one. Oh yes I later upgraded my Foreplay with Goldpoint smd attenuators..

I am very very pleased with the sound of my system and have stopped looking for upgrades....I only build for fun now...
