Having returned from holiday travels, I've finally had the time to replace the diodes and electrolytic on the heater supply on my SEX amp (see thread below for history of damage, an unidentified short resulting in diode breakdown). Nothing was obvious during the re-installation that identified the cause of the initial problem; resistance check with the points in the manual gives correct readings all the way around post-repair. However, on proceeding to the voltage check, the fuse blows immediately on throwing the switch; I've replicated the event now three times to be sure I'm not somehow getting fuses mixed up.
Any sense of where to go from here? What kind of short might there be that wouldn't be picked up in the resistance check? Are there other meaningful resistances worth checking (like across power transformer terminals, for example)?
Thanks,
Rich
