You should have received wire with the kit. What you might have is some of the older ‘magnet wire’, gold colored with a thin clear insulation coating. This is very good wire but getting that coating off to solder to can be very difficult. I might set it aside for a future project.

Most any wire in the 18 to 22 gage range will be fine, solid is easier to work with. Try Radio Shack. Large home/hardware stores sometimes have ‘bell wire’ or I once bought some thermostat wire, which was 4, 18 gage wires of different colors in a plastic sheath, very handy…John

But it’s the sense of satisfaction I get, by getting it to do anything at all…
