Steve, did you get the right heater voltage reading with the .22 ohm wirewound resistor? The reason I ask is that I'm fixing to convert my own Extended Foreplay to 6sn7s and I found a post by PJ that says .10 ohm is the right value.

I don't want to put the wrong resistor in!
Here's another question: the 6sn7 pinout uses pins 7 and 8 for the heater wires. Does it matter which pin gets the red wire and which gets the black wire?
