I have similar problems that I've come to accept. I have dimmers downstairs on the other side of the house that still inject a bit of noise! I assume that they're putting the noise into the line and that building some sort of a cage for the amp and or shielding the dimmer may not help. I suppose I'll have to experiment. The fluorescent ballasts also seem to do the same.
