My Foreplay has worked fine until now.
Running on its corner shelf feeding a SS power amp everything is fine.
Running into a heavy duty tube power amp ( Cayin 860) makes the system sensitive to electric/magnetic fields...
Running the amps on the floor or close to the front wall is OK, but when I move the Foreplay to my rack in the corner next to my listening position I get a buzzing sound,(the same happens when the poweramp is moved to the corner rack)'. Moving the Foreplay out of the corner/ off the shelf reduces the buzz , placing Foreplay on the floor and the buzz is gone...
Removing the other hifi parts from the corner shelf does not help. With the help of ac "current/voltage finder pen" ( do not know the term but its used to locate hidden power cables) I get a very strong voltage /50Hz signal from the walls so some 240V/50Hz cables are inside the wall.
Of course there is no measurable 50hz disturbance in the position when Foreplay is quiet.
Now the question:
I wish to use the corner/rack position and I do not want to have Forplay on the floor between the speakers!!!
Is there any way to shield the Foreplay to be more immune to 240V/50hz fields?
(I realize it may be a power amp issue)
best regards
Balle
