The BIG manufacturers use a volume and balance control. You can do the same.
It is hard to find a balance control these days but there are a few out there. IIRC the last one I bought was from Michael Percy.
See the link below. There are Alps balance pots in 50/100/250k ohms $39 on page 14.
A stereo pot could be mounted in the front of the Foreplay III kind of like pRC did the mono attenuators in his Mambo Foreplay: http://www.cognitivevent.com/av_foreplay2.html Too cool not to share!
P.S. The Radio Shack 100k stereo volume control is really ~$3 and made by Alps. It is stamped on the back, and I have used them a lot!
