I think he did get his question answered. The stereo volume pot added to the mix was the best solution Grainger and I could come up with (ok, Grainger came up with it). There may be other ieas, such as rewiring to use a stereo pot and one balance pot, but this one was actually the simplest to execute. You are going to have to look at the FP III and figure out where you are going to put the stereo pot if this is the route you take (and if that is the pre you are building). It may actually be that a stereo pot and balance pot will fit better, I don't know, we did all of this on a FPII. I think you may have to put it through the wooden base, I am not sure if there is room for one where the two attenuators are or not. That may be a subject for a new thread.
