So, what crossover function do you need? (slopes? Q's?) :^) Do the amps have level controls, or must the crossover have them? (Can you get away with level controls on the lowpass only?)

The FP-III is a better framework because of the shunt regulation, which is especially important with cathode followers. But a modest Zener regulator might be made to work within the FP-II's limitations.
