Probably the best approach is to put the amp in a low oven, like 150-175 degrees for a while. This might bake out the moisture.

Port Townsend is a fabulous town. The winter north wind coming off the water can be brutally cold. It's great to go up in winter when the tourists aren't there, but you can freeze your tuchas walking down the street.
