Subs for a Climax

I was looking at some DIY subwoofer options to mate with PJ's Climax speaker plans.

I just wanted pass on something I came across for those who don't want to build a DIY sub.

Yeah, I know a DIY sub is easy. But this is simpler than simple.

I actually got this idea from a post Doc made awhile ago on one of the other AA boards. Can't remember which one now. I'm sure I'll remember after a few more beers.

Anyway, ya take the Shiva-X subs from Kevin Haskins at DIYCable. Drop them right into a Parts Express 12" sub kit.

Done.

P.E. said they wouldn't sell me their sub kits without their subs. In this case, you can buy the parts individually and drop in the Shivas. Kevin told me his speakers will fit perfectly the P.E. box - even with the P.E. cutouts.

No cutting.

Yeah, you can use the Dayton subs that come with the P.E. kit. But I gotta feelin' them Shivas are a worth the $150 or so extra.
