I've been using a Squeezebox (SB3) in wireless mode for about 18 months,
and am sold on both the concept and the reality. I have ripped over 500
CDs to flac using EAC (mostly) and have been using the SB3 directly into
my SEX amp. I will be building a DAC this summer (Twisted Pear Opus) to
insert between the two units. The SB3 analog out is very nice, some of the
DACs I have heard fed from the SB3 are nicer. Of course, vinyl is still
better at its best.

You can put a surprising number of albums on a hard disk. I haven't yet
filled up 200gb of a 250gb drive with 500+ cd's. I have two drives, one
to back up the other.
