Absolutely much more lifelike. Better transients, better tone, even better bass. A fantastic sense of "ease" - that everything was flowing as intended. One of those moments where you are transfixed and instantly recognize you like what you are hearing. I have never beeen a fan of "small changes" - if you have to listen for 5 hours to 10 different selections to hear a difference, then the difference is negligible. At my first listening to a 2A3 what I heard was not a small change. And I continue to like the 2A3 sound, whether by Bottlehead or whomever - it is my tube of choice until I hear something I like more. But again, listen for yourself. We all seem to hear so differently. I have only heard a couple of horn speakers I could live with, but people whose judgment I respect seem to love them. Go figure.
