When I opened up my Foreplay II to install a IEC inlet on it, one of the poles on the power switch came tinkling out. I had a REALLY stiff power cord soldered directly into the guts and each time I had to move the stereo, I was worried about the strain it must be placing on the innards, so I wanted to replace it with an IEC jack so I could take the cord off. Guess I was right to be worried, but just a little too late.
OK, so I broke the switch. While I know how to replace it physically, I'm not sure where to get a replacement switch, nor how to make sure I have the right kind of switch. Is it a "standard" size so I can go to Rat Hack and easily find a new switch to drop in? What current and voltage rated switch do I need to get? Anyone know a part number for a direct replacement?
Thanks all,
Ty
