You can very carefully open the switch and tweak things inside for better contact. It's a little scary because the little contacts can fall out, but worth trying before you take the switch out altogether. If it doesn't work let us know and we'll send out a replacement. They are made by Lorlin.
PJ and I were talking about this last night. The next choice up in quality is a Grayhill switch that has solder terminals so small and so closely bunched together that everyone would be screaming at us after they tried to hook one up. They are so small that won't even take 22 ga. wire. The next jump up from there is to the really spendy switches that would raise the price of the kit too much. So we are kinda stuck with the Lorlins that work great about 99% of the time, but occasionally get noisy. If you want the most rugged and reliable Mouser has Electroswitches that will set you back about $80 each.
