Need PCI sound solution for SEX

What do you guys think of the M-Audio Audiophile 24/96 pci sound card to drive a SEX amp??? Is this a huge step down from a "good" cd player or can it hold its own? Eventually I plan on adding in a Foreplay 3, but for now I'm focusing on the sound source since what I have now SUCKS. I am trying to come up with a good solution for computer sound since most of my music is on my computer (mp3, shn, FLAC, etc). I used to be restricted to a laptop but have recently come across a fast desktop computer....any ideas??? I can spend up to 300
