Several other ideas have been tossed around. Tube rolling in the driver stage of course (you would need different cathode resistors for each different tube type). Better coupling and parafeed caps. Buddha-fied power line filter. A CMC filter on the filament lines. Larger better filter caps in the power supply. A CLC filter in place of the CRC. A doubled output transformer for more bass power. Even a 45 in place of the 2A3, which came up a week or two ago here.Plus larger upgrades to better iron, either output or power supply or both (which would be an upgrade to one of the other Bottlehead amps of course). Maybe a 300B Paramour?
None of these have been tried yet, of course. But this is an eXperimental hobby. One of the cool things in this community is that people try things and share their results, other people help or try variations, and eventually good ideas emerge.
