we had a great time, even though there were only a handful of us.
big thanks to my wife Jenny for putting up with us while we had our fun and she had to work.
thanks also to randy willis for coming by to show us how to work the reel to reel and giving good company for the parts of the meet that he was able to attend.
welcome to my friend mark to the bottlehead community; he's already sniffing for sex upgrades and maybe a fpIII, as well as to hear some paramounts.
we commandeered the living room for 4 days for the purposes of putting together a SEX headphone amp (the construction pics posted later), throwing back some suds, and trying out our collective gear in different arrangements.
the favorite sounds of the weekend came through biamped straight 8's with the newly completed SEX on the tweeters, and a pair of channel island vmb-1 monoblocks on the woofers with attenuation on both to make the amps' volume comparable, as well as to give us the tone we were looking for (i think we were itchy to biamp something with all of the amps we had laying around, but the result sounded very nice).
all in all a great weekend.
