Let us know how high you jump the first time you turn the knob all the way down and went one click past mute, to full blast. We used to hear about it all the time, before we went to a switch with a built in stop.

Why would the switch go one click past mute to full blast unless the switch was either broken or somebody wired it up wrong to begin with? The switch already has a built in stop for 12 positions (i.e. you can't keep going past postion 12 straight to position 1). At least the ones I have do.
