I found the combination of spikes and spike cups a bit annoying because they would rattle from the sub at higher volumes.There is a huge amount of vibration when the sub is really working and the open baffle is relatively light and not weighted equally.I resorted to very special compound damping cups underneath the spikes which does the trick.
