Hi Gary,

sealed- (original), dipole- and also horn- woofers can be used with the Prometheus- baffles. Comparing the sealed original- cabinets and dipole- woofers there are advantages for both systems. When you have difficulties in your room with common woofers a dipole is a good alternative, in most rooms the placement of a dipole- woofer has to be with bigger distance to the walls, so imho these are not the first choice for a small room, here the original woofers have advantages regarding placement. There are exceptions, Bjørn has made very good experiences but on the other hand some customers who tried dipoles went back to sealed- or hornbased- woofers. When you want to copy Bjørn`s design best is to contact him by p.n., when you want to built another dipole- design i will give you advice but i can`t guarantee that this is what you want/need.
