Bas - I think your idea is going to work quite well. I have half finished the first cabinet with integrated feet as you suggested. I think it will look nice. They are 18mm MDF, which I will probably veneer. I haven't made a final decision about the front yet - bare, speaker cloth or the full "Calypso" style front.

I will try to keep a photo work diary going.
