How small a room is too small?

Until I finish the attic or basement in my new house the only place I have to set up my Prometheus system is a 9.5' x 11' bedroom. Do you guys [Robert & Bill] have any thoughts as to how good they could sound in there? Right now it sounds horrible, but my front baffles are right next to the rear wall so I think I'll try pulling them out further. Also, the acoustics are horrible as the walls & ceiling are bare drywall (except for two windows) and the floor is hardwood. Any thoughts on positioning the speakers or what will work best to tame the refelections?
