Both speakers like to be out about 4' from the back wall for optimum imagining. This arragement offers both nearfield and normal listening. (Nearfield listening with a Bastanis speaker is mind blowing, no chemicals required)! While too much bass is not an issue with the Prometheus in the small room I do prefer the bass from the Dragonfly. In a smaller room it is more tuneful and surprisingly deep and extended. (I measured useful bass down to 35hz). If you have plans on ever moving to a larger room then the Prometheus is hands down the winner. However I would say save you money with a small room such as yours and go with the Dragonfly. Jump in with both feet, no worries.
