1.) I did not find the treble etched or exaggerated at all. In fact I am suprised how natural it sounds. Be aware though that I have a single ended triode amplifier that has very neutral treble sound. I did also change the 1uF capacitor std polyprop for a 1uF tin foil polyprop. Using 1uF silver in oil Mundorf caps made the treble "too neutral" for my tastes (don't know how else to describe this).

2.) Are you referring to shouty sound? None..zip..nada.

3.) Depends also on your amplifier as well. I had a bigger soundstage with my mu-stage than with my choke loaded stage. But I prefer the choke loaded stage.
