firebird caps

The fire bird has a single cap to protect the tweeter which is wired out of fase with the wide band, why is this wired so and what is the value of the cap? i assume its a 1uf 50v, will different value caps give a different sound? If so what would do what? sorry im very new to all this.
I have a few mundorf caps 1.25uf to 2uf some are 50v and some 630v what would i get if i change the cap or is that not advisable?
