I nearly finished a long, but pleasent time in my workshop building the AN/E cabinets. I got kids, so i NEED a front "cover-plate" with some cloth.
I suppose the best solution is to make the plate+covering the same dimensions as the front, and then make the hole (for the sound) as big as possible? Like 3-4 cm for the wood-frame.
I might need some treatment of the birch plywood. And i got some nice spare oil for my wooden kitchentable. But would it go too deep into the wood, and change the "natural" movement of the cabinet? (Like the point, that the amount of glue is supposed to be minimized).
