High voltage on Kit2

I have been trouble shooting my Kit2 most of the day. I swear I had 440 volts on the plates earlier today but now I read over 550 volts. Any idea why the voltage would be so high? Even with only the rectifier in, the voltages should be in the 400 vdc range.
