Power tubes loose amplification

Hi everyone!

After 5 years one of the driver tubes in my Kit 1 died and I decided to replace the whole tubeset. As replacement 300Bs I got a pair from JJ electronic.
The tubes exhibit a curious behaviour: After a few minutes of seemingly normal operation the tube seems to loose most of its amplification, playing only very silently. In the night I notice a blue glow on the filament.

Anyone had this problem before and any ideas what could cause it?
