Hi Paul,
Okay, sounds like you can rule out everything besides the most recent changes. If you replaced the film capacitors in the power supply, there is a good chance one of their solder joints is what's causing you grief.
Let us know what you come up with.

Just out of curiousity, what changes did you make and what are your thoughts on the new components?
