Hi RGA,

That was Charlie King - Mr. Stellavox - late in the day Sunday and the sound was astonishing. The guy the tapes belonged to said he'd never heard them sound so timbrally accurate. A jaw-dropper, alright.

Nope, not a new Audio Note source, but one that was seen in a few places because Doc Bottlehead is half of the Tape Project team, along with Paul Stubblebine. They're licensing, remastering and releasing classic recordings on 10.5" reels at 15 ips. I was hoping we'd get to play one of those in the AN room, but it didn't work out. Next time . . .
