Newbie here....
I just want to share my experiences with the Kit 1 which i built a couple of months ago.
Im not a techie and don´t understans schematicks but managed to put the kit together quite easely, hade som trouble with the CPU but was sent some spare parts from AN and this got it sorted.
I have a pair of Usher bookshelf speakers on stands @ 98db which i hooked up to the kit and fired away......
My first impression was -the music is so clear and spaced out with a tight bass that you can feel, so direcy and pin pointed, marvelous.
After a couple of weeks I thaught I would tuberoll some, and all the EH tubes came out for a 5NOS U4G rectifier from the 50s, in went a pair of WE 300B new production, a bad boy Sylvania 6SN7 NOS and a pair of NOS 5687 Tung Sol black plates were also installed.
At the time, before tubechange, i was considering a subwoofer to get a little more thunder but with this tube setup I changed my mind, at once, no need, got the punch allready now, great.
A month went by and a small parcel arrived today from AV with the 4 AN copper PIO´s I orderd, popped them in and.....my first thaught was - WOW, how can it get any better? little more bass and cleareness added, fantastic!

Anyway just nice to share my thaughts.
