Hi Zeke,
Your mail received. Thank you very much. It is helpful.
I do have a few good pots in hand including a TKD2511(step type).
Yes, I tried to connect by wires like you did. And it is wonderful. I like it very much. But the problem remains unchanged. Will TKD 2500 PLASTIC type work better? ( I did tried TKD 601?, BUT don't like it )
I don't use pre-amp. My system is very simple => Studer CDP -> KIT1-> loudspeakers ( Supravox 215-2000, 165-2000, WE 755A -- from 93dB TO 100dB). For my other amplifiers, I use DACT CT1, TDK 2P65CS(41 STEP) to treat the problem.I have one brand new P&G now and am thinking of installing it to KIT 1 with wire connecting to the PCB. I am sure that P&G CAN treat the vloume level very well but I am kind of hesitating to take action due to two reasons: 1, it is 10k; 2, the connecting wires will be upto about 15cm long and may bring negative effects to the sound quality.
How do you think?
Thanks again for you help.
