As an alternative, since it is "only" (just Kidding) a kit, and for your own consumption, and keeping it within the DIY, you could find a source for Fine Paints of Europe, and use their high gloss paint. They will mail you some directly, and may have a local distributor, depending on your location. This paint is expensive (for paint), but is like no domestic paint, period. It will layout like glass, if you use their brush, and are a good painter. Use their primer, and thinner as well. DO NOT SUBSTITUTE. They are quite friendly and helpful if you call them and tell them what you are trying to do. Also, you can have ANY color you can dream up. You will still need to sand, vacuum, and tact between each coat. This is not to contradict the other post about using a spray booth/rig. This is a DIY alternative. This material would also be better sprayed, with the right gear, by the right guy.
Another alternative, have a local finisher spray your cabinets, with the above paint, or with what ever they usually use.
happy, happy
