Your speakers should do well on Jazz, orchestral and other acoustic music. Without knowing if your disappointed with the Who or Dance Music it's hard to advise.
I see from your system description the Neat Petites are set up far apart with a TV in the middle. I'm unfamiliar with them but I have to think that their strengths don't lie below 150 Hz. And that's where rythym lives.
Higher efficiency 8" woofers make up the Audio Note speakers and the TT-2 was surely developed with them.
You just won't get dynamic bottom from your 6 1/2" mid-range drivers on stands.
I would try: lowering the tone arm a bit to emphasize the lower registers; move the speakers closer to the front wall; put a heavy throw over the TV or entertainment center to damp some of the mid-range energy that may allow the bass to emerge.
Bear in mind that I'm from the big woofer/horn 97dB efficient camp and judge accordingly.
And don't give up.
