Dear guys,Sorry need your help. I'm onto the last wiring before completion
of my Kit1 - the AN-V from RCA to driver board. Just realised that one pair
of the AN-V is shorted somewhere along its length (there is a reading on my
voltmeter). Can't locate exactly where though, all the terminations and
external trunking appear intact.I'm now stuck and thinking of the following possibilities:
1. use the remaining good pair of AN-V to supply either the live or neutral
wire for the RCA to driver board, split the trunking of the shorted pair and
use the 2 inner wires as separate runs of neutral or live respectively
2. use the remaining good pair of AN-V for one channel, spilt the shorted
pair, insulate them and twist them together for the other channel
3. use a new set of interconnecting wire pairs ... I have some OCC
multi-stranded silver wire which I could twist together to create 2 pairs of
interconnects. There will be no shielding though and I could use aluminium
foil to wrap them for shielding before applying heat shrink trunking. I'm
not sure if they would sound half as good as the AN-VWhat is your advice?
Thank you very much, Leon
