Hi guys,
I'm really hoping someone can help me please.A friend of mine bought a used Kit One recently but it seems to have developed a fault (or maybe it already had it). Knowing that I had some experience with a soldering iron he brought it round for me to have a look at. Luckily I managed to find the schematics on-line so I also have some info.
Anyway, the problem is this... if you switch the amp on with no tubes plugged in there is a 100ohm resistor near the corner of the power supply board (connects to ground, v. small cap across it) which just smokes and burns up, or the fuse blows - I've fitted two replacement resistors so far.
Any ideas what the problem might be?
Many thanks in advance!
Les.
