I tryed this supply also and i think the problem is there
everything is stressed because of the high capacitance.
and i dont like the sound at all ,i cant imagine that someone like it to. Or there was from the start no reverence at all.
The original new supply fine but has allready much higher capacitance than the Audio Note original
the advantage of a regulated supply is that you can use less capcitance for better sound
Build it back with the stock values and use directly after the rectifier 20 to 30 uf.
Remove the decoupling choke and cap the newer supply dont need it.
Then you hear also how good it sounds.
