RE: DAC 2.1 Level C with C-core output transformers

Well I have to say that the question of whether I am getting $1800 worth of sound is irrelevant. What is relevant is how much I enjoy my system. And I do have to say that the transformers in question have transformed this little DAC into something that sounds utterly amazing and that brings untold listening pleasure to me. Pleasure that the unmodified version did not bring, and pleasure that the 2.1C with just upgraded caps, resistors and stock transformers did not bring So is it worth the money to me? Absolutely.

Until you have heard personally what premium transformers and IV's can do to the sound of a DAC, preamp or amp...I would suggest keeping an open mind to such ideas. Because once you do get a taste, you might find yourself prying open your wallet....sometimes uncontrollably!

BTW......ANUK makes quite a few transformers that cost a WHOLE LOT MORE than the ones I am talking about. How about upwards of $5,000 for a set of transformers? I have never heard a pair of these, but knowing what I know about what Peter and Andy are doing over there, I would not DARE say they are not worth the money.
