Hi GTCharlie
How does the arrangement you recommend work? Does the sub act as a high pass filter and pass a filtered signal to the speaker, or does it tap the speaker in a benign fashion and let the whole signal (unfiltered by crossovers) through to the speaker?
I am about to try out a single driver back loaded horn speaker (FE126E Fostex based), so I would loath to send the signal through a crossover. The whole idea of going single driver is to avoid passive crossovers.
For the interim I was thinking of purchasing a parts express sub. They have some inexpensive subs that work quite well that allow for adjustable frequency cut off.
Thanks
Paul
