Bel Canto eVo2i

I have been looking for a better integrated and was drawn to the recent Soundstage review of the Bel Canto eVo2i. I currently have a Cairn Fog 2 CD player and Cairn 4808A Integrated Amp (30 watts, first 10 in class A) running into Jean-Marie Reynaud Evolution 3 speakers. I have recently moved house and in my new much larger "bright room" the sound was a little lean and light, while having great rhythm and life and emotion.

Based on the Soundstage review and that of Srajan Ebaen of www.6moons.com I auditioned the Bel Canto eVo2i at home.
It offered deeper bass, and smoothed out some edginess in certain recordings, and maintained a rhythmical approach to music - but it was generally flat, boring, unemotional; and voices were all recessed (as if in a cave). Sarah Mclauchlan's "Possession" (one Aaron the reviewer listened to) was much more human, musical, sweet through the Cairn amp.

I've gone back to the Cairn amp, much happier.

The point of my writing is to offer another experience of an amp that 2 reviewers really liked - once again confirming how system dependent sound really is.

I'd also like to see an audition of the new higher level Cairn 4810A Integrated (100 watts, first 10 in class A).

I'm suggesting that Cairn offer a couple of amps that are at least the peer of the eVo2i which Soundstage said had few peers!!
